Hair Removal - Flashlapms - Intense Pulsed Light
The past few years, revolutionary new methods in medical and aesthetic applications have been developed and they are taking the industry by storm. These techniques are referred to as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), Variable Pulsed Light(VPL), Controlled Pulsed Light(CPL), or Intense Flash Light (IFL). These are essentially the same. The systems harness the energy from apulsed flashlamp and deliver it directly to the skin. This technique is proving highly effective in the following treatment areas:
How does the Pulsed Light differ from Laser?Source: intensepulsedlightreview.com Laser light starts with Pulsed Light but eliminates all but one wavelength (or color) of light. Laser can deliver only one color (or wavelength) of light at a time. Pulsed Light can deliver hundreds or thousands of colors of light at a time. Pulsed Light machines use "cut off" filters to selectively deliver the desired wavelengths. These wavelengths can be customized to reach the specific hair, blood vessels, or skin component being treated; and can be modified with each pulse.
