Back Hair Removal

For most men having back hair is an embarrassment. It could prevent them from working out at the gym when others are around, or they have to miss some pool parties, because hairy back is not a nice thing to see. So for many people hair on the back can make a huge impact on their lives.

You have many methods in your repertoire to eliminate back hair. The expensive but almost permanent Electrolysis, Laser or IPL. At home you can try any of the epilation or depilation methods.

While depilatories remove hair at the skin's surface, epilatories, such as waxes and tweezers, pluck hairs from below the surface level. Waxing and tweezing may be more painful than using a depilatory, but the results are longer lasting. Because the hair is plucked at the root, new growth is not visible for several weeks after treatment. But don't forget the blazing red skin you get after waxing, or the hundreds of ingrown hairs the epilator left you. Shaving can cut your skin several times before you finish. Tweezing is impractical for large areas, and a human back is a large area.

So finding a method for back hair removal that works, is not easy. But you have to find one if you have the same problems I mentioned at the beginning of this article.

It's the one you probably forgot to try. Your trusty electric shaver. Every man has to have one.
Added benefits:

  • Smooth, close shave (almost as close as shaving with a razor)
  • No razor burn
  • No ingrown hairs and nasty bumps
  • No redness or stinging skin
  • No pain
  • No mess
  • Easily transportable
  • Low cost
  • The electric shaver has three stainless steel blades that never dull (with monthly cleaning), minimizing nicks, bumps, and razor burn.
  • With an electric shaver, it's easier to shave your own back, because you don't have to worry about angling towards the skin wrong and nicking yourself. However, if you have a friend shave your back, it's not too much of a hassle either, as an electric shaver is fast and painless, unlike asking your friend to endure ripping your hair out with an epilator or waxing kit.
  • With an electric shaver, your hair isn't getting ripped out of the follicle (so no pain), but cleanly cut at its head.

Almost as good as shaving with a regular razor but without all the problems. Getting a quick, close shave, while not bleeding to death. The electric shaver has seriously reduced the blood loss, but at the expense of closeness. The two types of electric shavers are rotary and foil. Foils theoretically offer a closer shave, but have trouble cutting longer hairs. Rotary shavers can cut long hairs, and are easier to maneuver around difficult areas like the chin and neck.

Finally, by having an electric shaver you don't have to spend a lot of money, and still you have a great solution. All you have to do is to clean and maintain it.
