Laser-assisted Hair Removal

Laser-assisted hair removal is a relatively new method for long-term hair reduction. Lasers can be used to remove excessive and cosmetically disabling hair. Laser treatments are most effective on dark hair with white skin. It may take three to six months before re-growth occurs. Several treatment cycles are required and the time in between each cycle depends on the body area being treated.

Individual response to laser-assisted hair removal is highly variable and depends upon numerous factors, including skin color, hair color and hair size, laser type, fluence, wavelength (the longer wavelengths are safer for darker skin types, the scale ranges from 400 to 1200 nm), and skin preparation.
